Let's clear up some common questions

How do I get the downloads?

You'll receive a link to the content on the checkout page as well as in an email. No need to save either of those though, just create an account on the website and login to access the most current content whenever you need to!

Will the content be shipped to me?

Only our reference cards are shipped. Everything else (lessons, PowerPoints, ACS Reviews, syllabi, etc.) is only delivered digitally.

After checkout you'll receive a link on the website as well as via email to download the content. No need to keep the email. Just create an account on the website. You can access the most current content there whenever you need to.

Can I print the content?

Yep! You're free to print the content. We recommend finding a commercial printer (FedEx Office, Kinkos, etc.) to keep the costs down. The lesson plans and other content is quite lengthy.

What aircraft is the content designed for?

While the lessons were originally developed around the Diamond aircraft, over the years they have been updated to be more generic and useful to everyone. The limited aircraft specific information remaining has been annotated with a highlighted yellow asterisk for easy recognition and updates.

The CFI lesson plans are an amazing tool!! I was struggling with figuring out how to start my lesson plans, and these have been an amazing template and tool to help me build my own lesson plans. If you’re on the fence about it, I highly suggest taking advantage of these!!

I appreciate the thorough detail and effort put into this document. I can only imagine the months of work it took to do so. My only two critiques that lead me not to give this an "outstanding" or 5 star review include:
1. Repetition
-There are countless times I go through the material and have the same concept repeated three times in a slightly different manner. That may be intentional for greater recall, but it seems time consuming and unnecessary for my sake.
-Second, I personally feel that a lesson plan with this detail and scope of knowledge could use some additional guidance. My greatest battle is working to make this material appropriate for the plane I am using (C172S) and to find a way to make this outline flow into a presentation. The PowerPoint and condensed versions are helpful for this, so I am not extremely concerned. Nevertheless, the complete document feels like it could be structured in a more efficient way to allow for more natural teaching.
I hope my ideas are clear and transmitted effectively enough that they can be useful to you. Thank you for providing this content to us. It is a valuable asset in my training!

Solid Purchase, Good Content

I love that there is a full lesson plan, a condensed lesson plan, and an accompanying PowerPoint presentation and that they match the ACS very closely. I wish the documents were split up into sections instead of having to continuously navigate through 800 page documents each time. I also wish the PowerPoint was a little higher quality, it’s very basic and hard to read at times. Overall I think it was a good value for the amount of content provided as well as the references.

Thanks, Ben! I've got great news! Everything you mentioned (and a bit more) is in the works! Each Knowledge and Risk Management task required by the ACS is being annotated right now (and almost done). Following that, the focus is on improving the quality of the PowerPoints (less text per slide, a more coherent and professionally done design with more color and energy, and more visuals).

I've also already started breaking the lessons into individual files, so you'll have that option as well. In the meantime, to avoid all the scrolling, make sure you're using the Navigation Pane in Word (under the View tab), and the Navigation options in any PDF reader. Those options basically eliminate the scrolling between lessons and make navigating much smoother. Thanks again!
